Welcome to the blog for Kirkennan Estate Holiday Cottages. Here you can find blogs about local attractions and things to do, information about Kirkennan and much more. You can either browse by date or search for particular topics such as walks.
Mark Williams is a professional foraging teacher based in Dumfries and Galloway who runs sessions on how to identify, collect and use wild foods. I joined a session he was running as part of the Wigtown Book Festival where we concentrated on the harvest available in late summer/early autumn along the shoreline.
This blog shares some of the art and craft work you can see if you are a guest at Kirkennan Estate Holiday Cottages both around the Estate grounds and within the cottages. This time I intended to really slow down and focus on the moment.
A cozy holiday cottage in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway that can sleep 4 & 1 in 2 bedrooms. Ideal location for watching our red squirrels play!
A great place to relax and unwind - a detached holiday cottage set in a large enclosed garden overlooking Kirkennan's walled garden where our chickens roam.
An accessible holiday cottage sleeping 5 which is all on one level with a wet-room. Near our 14 acre woodland rich in wildlife.
