Set within 74 acres of formal grounds, walled gardens, fields and riverside woodlands, our three self-catering cottages offer a comfortable base in Dumfries and Galloway. The estate is a haven for wildlife — guests frequently spot roe deer, badgers, hares and even otters during early morning or late evening wanders. Located less than a mile from the harbour village of Palnackie, and just a short drive from the dramatic Solway Coast, Kirkennan is perfectly positioned for your Scottish getaway.

    Guests are welcome to enjoy the fields and woodlands. Paved private roads extend through the formal gardens, making them highly accessible for wheelchairs, pushchairs, and young cyclists.

    Every cottage is fully equipped for self-catering and features its own dedicated outdoor space. The Lodge and Woodsedge both offer fully enclosed gardens for peace of mind.

    Truly Dog Friendly

    We welcome up to three well-behaved dogs per cottage at no extra charge. Your dogs can even enjoy off-lead runs in our designated riverside woodland area.

    Being eco-friendly is a key focus for us. We have worked hard to reduce our carbon footprint by adding insulation, solar panels, an ASHP, and a district heating biomass system. We also use eco-friendly products.
